The 40th Induction Programme for First-Year Engineering students was inaugurated with great enthusiasm!

Chief Guest: Dr. E. S. Chakravarthi, Advisor, BGS Group of Institution Guest of Honour: Shri. Brijesh Patel, Former Secretary, KSCA & Trustee, GVET Presided by: Dr. T. Venkat Vardhan, President, GVET

Dr. Syed Ariff, Principal, welcomed the gathering, followed by a soulful invocation by Ms. Shreya & group (7th AIML). Miss Niharika V (7th CSE) gave an overview of the college, and Mr. K. S. Venkatesh, Parent cum Alumnus & AGM, BEML, addressed the audience. Dr. Jenitha, HOD–ECE, presented the College Report, and Dr. H. G. Shenoy, Vice Principal, rendered the Vote of Thanks.

Dr. Chakravarthi, in his inspiring address, emphasized P.A.C.E. — Problem-solving, Attitude, Communication, and Education — as the pillars of engineering success. He urged students to learn with purpose, faculty to continuously upskill, and parents to stay connected with the institution.

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Dr. TTIT, KGF, in association with IETE & IIC, organized a 5-day SDP from 22nd to 27th September 2025.

Renowned experts — Dr. Sanjeev Naik V (Alstom), Dr. Venkatesha K (BNMIT), and Dr. Joshi Manohar V (Presidency University) — delivered insightful sessions on EV design, hybrid systems, BMS, and smart mobility solutions.

Students gained hands-on experience and industry exposure, enhancing their understanding of sustainable electric mobility.

Department of Mining Engineering & IIC, Dr.TTIT Host Session on Angel Investment and VC Funding.
The Department of Mining Engineering, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Dr. T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology (Dr.TTIT), organized an insightful session on “Angel Investment/VC Funding: Opportunity for Early-Stage Entrepreneurs” on 28th August 2025.

The session was led by Dr. Manas Mukhopadhyay, Professor and Head of the Department of Mining Engineering, Dr.TTIT, who served as the resource person. Dr. Mukhopadhyay shared valuable knowledge about the various funding avenues available for startups and early-stage ventures. His talk emphasized the critical role of financial backing in the early phases of a startup’s journey and elaborated on how angel investors and venture capitalists can help turn innovative ideas into scalable and successful enterprises.

The session was well-received by students and aspiring entrepreneurs, offering them a deeper understanding of the startup funding ecosystem and encouraging innovation through proper financial planning and investor engagement.

The event was successfully coordinated by Prof. Daphny Shallet M (IIC Convener) and Prof. Maneela (IIC Member, Mining Engineering), whose efforts ensured the session's smooth execution and impactful delivery.
