'TCS IT Employability - Certification event 2019'
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) under CSR activity had successfully conducted "TCS IT Employability" program for 40 final year student FY 2017-18 from ECE / CSE / EEE, in association with Department of Training and Placements. The certification program was attended by Dr. Nagappa, Assistant General Manager and Branch IRC Head, TCS Bangalore along side with Principal, Vice-Principal & Head Corporate Affairs , Organized by Training & Placement team.

About the Program.

Free employability training to rural under privileged engineering graduates underTataAffirmative
Action Program, promoting sustainable and inclusive growth.

Improve Business English communication, impartcorporate etiquette, sharpen aptitude
& reasoning and improvise technical skills.
Implementation Details.

Sessions are conducted in weekends at thecollege premises across 3 semesters ofengineering
namely 5th, 6th and 7th. Presently there are 88 candidates from our college are
undergoing this training program.
- 24 sessions are conducted in total, with 8 persemester marking a module.
- All the sessions are conducted by selectedand trained TCS associates.
- Opportunity to attend TCS placement drive isprovided post completion of course.
Eligibility Criteria.
- Eligible: BE (CSE, ISE, ECE, EEE and Mechanical).
- Age Preference: Pre-final year students.
- Marks: Minimum 60% aggregate or above ingraduation, class XII, class X.

Provide Business English Skills, impart corporate etiquette, sharpen aptitudes and
strengthen one core subject prominent in the industry.

Implementation Details.
- Sessions will be conducted by internally certified TCS associates in the weekends.
- Training duration of 160 hours with 8 hours perday and 2 days in a week.
- Spread over 2 semesters starting from 4thsemester (5 weekends per semester).
- Certification of completion and career guidance.
- TCS recruitment and job offers for those who clear the recruitment process.
Eligibility Criteria.

Eligible: BSc (Physics, Mathematics, Electronics, Statistics, Computer Science,
Computer Application, IT), BCA/ BCS.
- Age Preference: Pre-final year students (2017 Pass out).
- Marks: Minimum 50% aggregate or above in graduation, class XII, class X.
BPS Employability Starting from 2016-17 Academic Year for KGF-FGC, B.Com, B.A and
B.Sc(Non-IT) Students
About the Program.

students of Arts and Sciences under Tata AffirmativeAction Program.

Improve English communication, provide basic computer training, impart corporate
etiquette,sharpen aptitudes and inculcate self-confidence.

Interactive sessions through lectures, groupdiscussions, public speaking, role-plays
etc.
Implementation Details.
- Sessions will be conducted by professionals certified by TCS.

Training duration of 100 hours with 3 to 7hours per day, depending on the colleges,students
and the trainer.
- Certification of completion to each graduate.
- Campus recruitment process opportunity and job offers for those who clear the same.
Eligibility Criteria.
- Eligible: BA, BSc (Non IT) and Bcom.
- Age Preference: Fresh graduates (pass out in2014-15 & 2015-16), current final yearstudents.

About the Program.

Free of cost online program for pre-university college students with an opportunity
to learn computer programming using Case Studies.
- Designed to meet State/CBSE Boardrequirements for Computer Science.
- Aims to instill self-learning in students,among other attributes.
Program Scope
- Implemented for more than 10 years inChennai covering around 9000 students.

Case Study methodology provides anunderstanding of theory getting appliedin real
life.

Strengthens the students’ knowledge ofC++ / Python, enabling them to face Board exams
with greater confidence.
Implementation Details

Students learn program concepts through a cloud basedweb application with multiple
chapters and quizzes.

After completing the chapters, a team of 4 studentssolve and upload a case study
provided.
- TCS associates act as mentors and evaluate the project.

Students are also taught to improve their soft skills through the sessions in the
school by TCS associates.

Students receive participation certificates. Merit certificates are awarded to top
students.
Program Requirements
- Course Duration: 90-100 hours to a maximum of 3 months.
- Soft Skills Course: 8 hours, One day session.
- Programming Languages: C++ / Python.
- Participants: PUC 1st year / 2nd year students.
- Education Board: State / CBSE board.
